Pagan and Wicca

"Wicca is a form of Neopaganism and modern Witchcraft. Wicca is a religion. Wicca is a spiritual path. Wicca is a way of life... and Wicca has the potential to be the most relevant and important new spiritual development of the 21st Century and supplant the irrational and superstitious religions prevalent in the past 2,000 years - as long as we can learn to keep it progressive and guard against its commercial exploitation and trivilisation." - Kevin Saunders, 2009

There are just some photos that I thought my visitors may find some pleasure in exploring...

Stonehenge Sunset by Tania

This beautiful shot was taken at the end of one of our private Wiccan rituals at Stonehenge.

Me and some of my students with one of the massive stones at sacred Avebury

Kevin Saunders with three of his students at Avebury. This stone (that actually vibrates strongly) is one of the hundreds of large sacred stones that form part of the Avebury complex... which itself is possibly over 5,500 years old.

Handfasting

Biba, Kevin Saunders and Wicca (the bride's name) on Glastonbury Tor during one of several handfastings I have conducted.

Glastonbury Abbey

The ruins of GLastonbury Abbey taken from the High Altar. I like churches when they are in ruins... it seems to suit them!

Wicca

Me, Kevin Saunders, at the ancient Boscowen Un stone circle in Cornwall.

Mulberry

My cat Mulberry who sadly passed on in 2008, although he is still seen and felt around our home... a wonderful companion, especially when I was bedbound with my disability.

Chalice Well Gardens

The Vesica Pool in Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury, Somerset, England.

Cerne Abbas

Me, my partner Oaklan and Ben at Cerne Abbas

Men an Tol

The Men an Tol, ancient Pagan monument in West, Penwith, Cornwall.

Fogou

This is the entrance into a fogou, thought to be an underground ritual chamber built in the iron age by our Pagan ancestors in West Cornwall.

Fogou chamber

This is the central chamber of the above-mentioned fogou... not many are as large or as well preserved as this one.

Cape Cornwall

Cape Cornwall... a beautiful and fairly isolated peninsula just north of Lands End in Cornwall. This is my ultimate retreat. The pointy structure on the top is an air shaft for one of the many old tin mines in the area that stretch out several miles under the sea. Tin mining has been continuing in Cornwall since before the Romans arrived.

Snowdon

Ben, Oaklan and I on holiday in Snowdonia 2008. Snowdon, according to some myths, is where King Arthur and his knights sleep waiting to return in our countriy's hour of need... erm... well that's now isn;t it?

Kevin Saunders

Me sitting under a hawthorne tree in the middle of Dartmoor - I forget why!

Madron

Me, with short hair again, meditating in an ancient ruined Celtic Church at Madron in West Cornwall.

Angel

An angel featured in Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury.
